The principal responsibilities of the Historic District Review Commission (HDRC) are:
-To inform and educate the citizens of Liberty on their historic and architectural heritage
-To investigate, recommend and keep a register of properties designated as historic landmarks or districts
-To provide assistance to property owners regarding the preservation or renovation of their buildings
More routine duties of the HDRC are to review applications for Certificates of -Appropriateness so that established guidelines are followed regarding exterior alterations of historic buildings

Generally, Study Sessions are held on the first and third Monday of each month at 7 pm in the City Council Chambers at City Hall.
Study Sessions are an opportunity for the City Council to study a particular topic in-depth. No formal action may be taken at a Study Session, but general direction is provided.
*Tuesday meeting due to Presidents Day holiday on Feb. 20.

Regular sessions of the City Council generally are held on the second and fourth Monday of each month at 7 pm in the City Council Chambers at City Hall.
It is at these meetings that City Council takes formal action.

The Liberty Community Center free day is scheduled for Friday, February 24. Open recreation is scheduled in the pools from 6 – 9 p.m., competitive play in the gymnasium from noon to 1 p.m., pickle ball from 1 – 3 p.m., recreational play in the gymnasium from 3 – 9 p.m., and the fitness center is available from 5 a.m. – 9 p.m.
There are also several group fitness classes available on Fridays!

Liberty Parks and Rec offers Adult Softball Leagues in the spring, summer and fall. The divisions offered are Men's E, Men's D and Coed with leagues on either Sunday or Thursday evenings. There are single or double header options available for ages 18 and older.

Liberty Parks and Recreation, in partnership with Alliance Futbol Club, is offering multiple divisions of Youth Development Leagues for boys and girls ages 5-12 years of age. These leagues are designed to give participants an introduction to soccer in a relaxed and learning environment.
