Testing of Outdoor Warning Sirens today

Wednesday, September 6, 2017

Each year, between March - October, the City conducts monthly tests of our outdoor warning sirens.

Each year, the first test of the outdoor warning sirens is scheduled in conjunction with the statewide severe weather drill in March. For more info about Missouri Severe Weather Awareness Week.

April through October, the tests take place on the first Wednesday of each month at 11:00 a.m.

The Fire Department would also like to remind all citizens that the City’s outdoor warning sirens are designed to assist in alerting people within our community that are outdoors during a severe weather event. In order to provide indoor alerting it is highly suggested that you purchase a NOAA Radio, which can be found at several local retail businesses.
