About the Department
We leverage technology, analytics, and logistics to improve city services and operations. The City of Liberty recognizes the vital role that information technology plays in fulfilling the many missions and goals. The Technology & Logistics Department's vision is to lead by providing innovative, high quality and cost effective information technology solutions that positions Liberty as the best place to live, work and visit.
The Technology & Logistics Department works in partnership with other City departments to plan and implement technology strategies and value-add solutions. The department has a dual role of supporting City departments in delivering services to city residents and other clients, and position the city-wide technology infrastructure to adapt to ever changing service delivery requirements. The department is organized as follows:
Network Infrastructure Management Services: Network Infrastructure Management Services is responsible for administration and management of the City’s information networks which include all technology infrastructure, servers, user accounts, storage, email, Internet access, back-up and recovery, capacity planning and citywide telecommunications.
Customer Support Services: Customer Support Services is responsible for establishing and maintaining partnerships with entities city-wide to create a City-wide support infrastructure for technology and telecommunications services that will increase support and services to City of Liberty staff and constituents.
Security Services: Security Services is responsible for establishing and maintaining patch and data management strategies to ensure reliable and secure technology infrastructure.
Application Support Services: Application Support Services is responsible for providing management, support and maintenance of more than 40 enterprise, department and business software applications systems. These systems include Financial Management, Payroll, H/R, Enterprise Land Management, Emergency Dispatch and support systems, Utility Services Management Systems, Web Services and Parks and Registration.
GIS Services: The Geographic Information Services (GIS) Division is an internal support function within the Technology & Logistics Department of the City of Liberty. We provide various geographic analysis and mapping services to support the City departments. Our mission is to support improved city services through leadership in the creation, maintenance and analysis of geographic information and by facilitating access to that information.
