Day Trips

Experience the Kansas City Metro with other members of the Liberty community through Day Trips with Liberty Parks & Rec. Transportation is provided via the Liberty Access Bus from the Liberty Community Center to various restaurants, attractions, museums, businesses and more so you're able to sit back and enjoy the ride.

Kauffman Memorial Gardens

The Ewing and Muriel Kauffman Garden provides a tranquil place where everyone is welcome and the Kauffman legacy continues to grow. Pack a book or a snack to enjoy while we spend our morning surrounded by the flowers.

Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art

The museum’s history is rich and the collection is deep. You will discover true originals, mankind’s greatest achievements, from ancient to contemporary works of art. Lunch is available at Rozelle Court, located within the museum.

New Theatre Restaurant - Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat

Based on the "Coat of Many Colors" story from The Bible's Book of Genesis, this upbeat musical is filled with a cornucopia of musical styles. From country-western to calypso to bubblegum pop & rock 'n' roll, this Old Testament tale emerges both timely and timeless. With its family-friendly storyline, universal themes and catchy music is a musical theatre event not to be missed.

The National Museum of Toys and Miniatures

The National Museum of Toys and Miniatures educates, inspires, and delights adults and children through the museum’s collection and preservation of toys and miniatures. After breakfast at eggtc, we’ll take a guided tour of the world’s largest fine-scale miniature collection and one of the nation’s largest antique toy collections on public display.
