Stormwater Master Plan
The City of Liberty, Missouri is dedicated to prioritizing high quality utilities for its residents through strategic planning. To further this commitment, the City is partnering with local engineering firms, HDR Engineering and subconsultant TREKK Design Group, to develop an innovative Stormwater Master Plan that will guide future projects and address ongoing stormwater management needs.
The first phase of the Stormwater Master Plan will be data collection. Starting in November 2023, crews will begin working throughout Liberty to assess curb inlets, manholes, and area drains. Inspection activities will also include in-pipe video assessments of storm sewer lines. This work will provide the City with valuable information about the current condition of its stormwater infrastructure and help guide the planning process.
Public Input Needed
An equally important component of the data collection process is gathering public input. As part of the City’s commitment to community engagement, you are invited to attend an upcoming public meeting on November 16, 2023, from 5 – 7 p.m. at the Liberty Community Center. Attendees will be able to learn about the Stormwater Master Plan, speak with City representatives, and provide feedback for the planning process. There will be no formal presentation and guests are welcome to come and go as they please.
