through Nov. 15.
The program is designed to lend a hand to disadvantaged Liberty area residents who might not otherwise have a joyous holiday season. Each household in the program receives several large boxes of non-perishable food along with milk, eggs and a turkey. Children in participating households also receive gifts to help make the holiday season a little brighter.
Anyone living within the Liberty Public School (LPS) district boundaries is eligible for assistance. School-aged children must be enrolled in a Liberty school. Home-schooled children must be registered in an official LPS extra-curricular activity; enrollment will be confirmed.
Those needing assistance should fill out an online application through www.ci.liberty.mo.us/LCCT or call the Liberty Community Christmas Tree program at 816.439.4424.
