Every May, the Administration for Community Living (ACL) leads our nation’s observance of Older Americans Month. The theme for 2020 is "Make Your Mark."
This theme was selected to encourage and celebrate countless contributions that older adults make to our communities. Their time, experience, and talents benefit family, peers, and neighbors every day. Communities, organizations, and individuals of all ages are also making their marks. This year’s theme highlights the difference everyone can make – in the lives of older adults, in support of caregivers, and to strengthen communities.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, some ideas generated by the ACL may not be possible at this time. Please adjust any of your activities to follow the guidelines set forth by your local health officials. We want everyone to stay safe and healthy while still making your mark. In the spirit of this theme, here are a few ways to make your mark this May and all year long:
