Liberty Community Center Scheduled to Open June 1

We hope you are as excited for June 1 to arrive as we are!  To meet the COVID-19 guidelines of the Clay County Public Health Center (CCPHC), the Community Center will re-open for members and Silver Sneakers members only on June 1. Here is what you can expect in the initial reopening phase of the Liberty Community Center on June 1.

  • No change in facility hours of operation.
  • To provide access to more members, please limit your use of the facility to 90 minutes.
  • No day passes or memberships will be sold at this time. (We will re-evaluate on June 15)
  • Staff will provide temperature checks of all staff and guests entering the building.  
    • Individuals registering a temperature higher than 100.4F and/or displaying general signs of respiratory systems will not be granted access to the LCC for the day.  
    • Family members with an individual registering a temperature higher than 100.4F or displaying general signs of respiratory systems will also not be granted access to the LCC for the day.
  • Liability waiver will be required upon entering the facility on your first visit.
  • During this time a higher level of direct adult supervision is required of youth to ensure CCPHC social distancing guidelines are maintained; youth ages 15 and under must be accompanied and directly supervised by an adult age 19+.
  • Companion Care Locker Room is open for restrooms and pool access only.
  • Top floor restrooms are open.
  • 50% occupancy (pending no date changes for Phase 2, Step 2 by the CCPHC) in the health and wellness areas, pools, and meeting rooms.

      • Use the cleaning supplies provided to sanitize your equipment before and after use.  Staff will also disinfect equipment and activity areas regularly.

    • Liberty Silver Center
    • Child Watch – As a precautionary measure to reduce the spread of COVID-19, The CCPHC recommends child care facilities maintain stable groups (same group of children watched by the same caregiver).  The LCC child watch program is a service provided to all members; a stable group cannot be maintained.
    • Locker Rooms (Come prepared for your activity)
    • Hot Tub
    • Sauna
    • Rock Wall
    • Gymnasium (closed to all activities except group exercise class use)
    • Water fountains (bottle fillers will available)
