Wellness Wednesday w/ Natural Grocers

LPR has partnered with Natural Grocers here in Liberty to bring you six Wellness Wednesday classes led by nutritional health coach, Annalise Winter. Come learn everything from nutrition to bone health, maintaining muscle and how to fight stress.

All classes will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. via Zoom and/or at the Liberty Community Center (max. 15 people)

  • April 14 - Good4U Nutrition 101
  • April 28 - Bone Builders and Bone Breakers
  • May 12 - Maintaining Muscle Mass
  • May 26 - Where to Start to Love Your Heart
  • June 9 - Immune Support 101: Nutrition and Immune Function
  • June 23 - Fight Back Against Stress

How to register: We would love it if you register for all 6 classes but if they do not fit your schedule or topic interest, we will work with you on registering. To register, contact Brigitte, Silver Center Coordinator at email or call 816.439.4368 Registration deadline Monday, April 12th.


Session Descriptions:

  • General Health - Good4U Nutrition 101  
    • This class gives you all the right tools for total body health—balanced energy, mood, sleep, metabolism, brain function, and more.
  • Bone Health - Bone Builders and Bone Breakers 
    • It’s never too late to build bone health (Men, too!) Bones are living tissue that responds to bone building care throughout life. Support lifelong bone health by knowing how to get all the nutrients your bones need.
  • Aging - Maintaining Muscle Mass
    • Learn how to maintain muscle mass now, and well into the future, with key foods and supplements all recommended by science-based research.
  • Heart Health - Where to Start to Love Your Heart
    • Taking care of your heart doesn’t have to be complicated. Start by uncovering some common heart care myths and then being your journey toward heart health with 3 simple dietary strategies and 3 supplements that will pump up your heart health.
  • Immune Support - Immune Support 101: Nutrition and Immune Function
    • Just like the rest of our body, the immune system requires optimal nutrition to work at its best. Keeping your immune system fed with the right stuff will ensure that your body is ready to handle whatever comes your way.
  • Stress Support - Fight Back Against Stress
    • While it’s impossible to remove all stress from your life, incorporating a few specific nutrients into your diet can help you deal with life’s many stressors.
