Water group exercise classes resume and sauna will open March 1!
The new pool water heater has been installed and the temperatures are steadily on the rise. Classes will resume the week of March 1 along with group swim lessons and competitive swim programs in the main indoor pool. Thank you for your patience during the repairs and we are excited to have you back in the pool.
The sauna will also be back open on Mar. 1. There will be a max occupancy of 2 people, mask are required at all times and there will be a 15 minute time limit. You must sign up in person for a time slot and you can not sign up for back to back times. See the welcome desk with further questions.

Effective Monday, Nov. 23
- Masks - All individuals ages 5 and older while in the building MUST wear a mask or face covering at all times while maintaining social distancing of no less than six feet.
- This DOES include all workout areas, land group exercise classes and cardio equipment.
- You may remove your mask when actively using the indoor pools or hot tub and while eating or drinking and maintaining social distancing.

The LCC is currently operating at 50% occupancy.

- COVID- 19 Assumption of Risk
COVID-19 has been declared a worldwide pandemic by the World Health Organization. COVID-19 is extremely contagious and is believed to spread mainly from person-to-person contact. As a result, federal, state, and local governments/health agencies recommend physical distancing and have, in many locations, prohibited the congregation of groups and people. The City of Liberty has preventative measures in place to reduce the spread of COVID-19; however, the City of Liberty cannot guarantee that you, your children, or any other person, will not become infected with COVID-19. Attending City of Liberty facilities, activities and or programming can increase your risk and/or your child(ren)’s risk of contracting COVID-19.
- Age Requirements
- During this time a higher level of direct adult supervision is required of youth to ensure CCPHC social distancing guidelines are maintained.
- Youth ages 12 and under must be accompanied and directly supervised by an adult age 19+.
- Youth ages 9-12 may use the cardio, machines or weight room and directly supervised by an adult age 19+.
- Children under the age of 9 are not allowed into the cardio, machines or weight room.
- Memberships & Day Passes
- Day Passes and Swipe Passes are available to purchase
- Credit card payment only will be accepted (NO CASH)
- Individuals who purchase a day pass and are coming back through for the next swim session will be required to show an ID prior to entering.
- You can use a previously purchased swipe pass.
- Annual Memberships are now available to purchase for youth, senior, adult and families.

- Wipe Down Equipment
- Use the cleaning materials provided. Wipe down all equipment before and after your workout.
- LCC staff will also be disinfecting equipment and high touch areas regularly.
- Wear a Mask
- Protect yourself and others by wearing a mask. Masks are recommended in common areas but not while exercising.
- All front line workers will wear a mask when cleaning and interacting with the public.
- Keep Your Distance
- Stay at least six feet away from others whenever possible.
- Wash Your Hands
- Wash your hands frequently to prevent spreading germs.
- Hand sanitizer is available throughout the facility.
- Stay Home if Sick
- Stay home if you are feeling sick/experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms.
- Monitor Occupancy
- We are following CCPHC guidelines for occupancy at the following steps:
- 25% occupancy Phase 2, Step 1
- 50% occupancy Phase 2, Step 2
- 75% occupancy Phase 2, Step 3
- Welcome desk will be keeping track of numbers as people enter and exit the facility.
- Staff will walk the facility every hour to gather occupancy numbers per area to make sure we are following occupancy guidelines for each phase.

- Sauna (Opens Mar. 1)
- The sauna will also be back open on Mar. 1. If everyone can follow the rules, it will remain open. If not, we will be forced to close it again. Here are the rules:

- Room Rentals & LPAT
- Rentals and theatre events will follow the gathering restrictions which are limited to a maximum of ten (10) people while maintaining social distancing. The client can submit exemption with CCPHC.
- Fitness Center & Weight Room
- Limit use to 90 minutes following current occupancy restrictions.
- Limit 8 people in weight room during this phase or reopening.
- Water fountains are closed but bottle fillers are available.
- Members must clean equipment before and after each use.
- Cardio equipment will be limited based on spacing.
- Practice physical distancing on equipment and weight room.
- Gymnasium - Basketball Courts (Open Sept. 18)
- Max 3 people per basket (only 6 people shooting around at one time)
- Group exercise class occupancy is 18
- No games or one-on-one play.
- Users must bring their own equipment.
- Please be courteous of others who are waiting to use the gymnasium.
- Pickleball & volleyball reservations must be made in advance. (check the gymnasium schedule for available times)
- Failure to follow the rules may result in being asked to leave the facility.
- Max 3 people per basket (only 6 people shooting around at one time)
- Locker Rooms (Open July 6)
- Men’s, Women’s and Companion Care Locker Rooms will be available
- Staff will be cleaning high touch surfaces regularly.
- Members are encouraged to clean equipment before and after each use with the disinfecting spray provided.
- Child Watch (Open July 6)
- Child watch will be available at 50% occupancy.
- Please follow guideline of 90 minute facility use.
- Liberty Silver Center (Starting July 9)
- Silver Center will ONLY offer small group Grief Support in July (learn more)
- Full Silver Center remains closed per Clay County Public Health Center (CCPHC) and will be re-evaluated in 30 days.
- Indoor Pool
- Indoor pool will be available for lap swim with one person per lane. (2 people per lane starting July 6)
- Limit occupancy to 65 people.
- Sauna or rock wall (Closed during phase 1 and 2 of CCPHC Recovery Plan)

- Staff is gathering input from CCPHC, Mid-America Regional Council and Silver Center members on what type of activities will be available.
