    Clay County will join its neighbors in issuing a stay-at-home order for Clay County residents. Beginning 3/24, all City facilities will be closed to the public through 4/24.

The Liberty Parks & Rec Health & Wellness Division offers a variety of specialty fitness classes and one or two day workshops to help you reach your fitness goals and live to your fullest potential.

Fit & Strong- CANCELLED

This program is evidence-based with multiple-component physical activity and behavior-change program designed for people with osteoarthritis and lower extremity mobility challenges. The benefits of the program include increased physical activity engagement, increased strength and mobility, improvements to lower extremity stiffness, decreased lower extremity pain and reduced perceptions of anxiety and depression.

Chronic Pain Self-Management Program (CPSMP)- CANCELLED

This workshop will focus on helping adults manage their chronic pain through goal setting; techniques that help manage frustration, fatigue, isolation, and poor sleep, physical activity, healthy eating and appropriate use of medication, as well as, effectively communicating with health care providers, family and friends. Workshops are 2.5 hours long and held once per week over a six week period of time with plenty of socializing breaks built into the workshops.

Walk with Ease

This program is an evidence-based fitness program shown to relieve pain and improve your health. Brought to you by the experts you trust at the Arthritis Foundation, Walk with Ease provides techniques to build up and maintain a successful walking program. Program consists of both education piece and a walking element.
