[ARCHIVED] Franklin Street Improvements udpate

Weather permitting, Franklin Street, between Gallatin Street and Fairview Avenue, will be closed to through traffic beginning June 27 to allow the City’s contractor to begin work on the Franklin Street Neighborhood Improvement project. Local residents and emergency services will still have access. Detour signs will be in place to direct motorists.

Traffic control is tentatively to be set up on Friday, June 27th on Franklin Street, with mobilization by the contractor to start on the sanitary sewer work on Monday, June 30th, weather permitting. Franklin Street will be closed to thru traffic from Gallatin Street to Fairview Ave, but access will remain available for local residents and emergency services. A detour route will divert westbound thru traffic north to Mississippi Street.
