The Liberty Parks and Recreation Department offers a variety of half-day enriching, fun summer camps for the kids in the Liberty community. With camps ranging from technology to language, the Liberty Community Center is the place for your kids this summer! The below camps will be offered this summer beginning in May:
- Kids’ Day Camp: Focusing on an active lifestyle, this full day camp teaches the basic fundamentals of sports and exercise techniques through a variety of games and activities!
- LEGO Camps: In partnership with Play-Well Teknologies, LEGO camps encourage campers to pursue their naturally gifted creator side. Each kid will dive into the massive collection of LEGO's to build elaborate objects, structures and vehicles by exploring the fundamental principles of engineering and physics
- Spanish Language Project: The Language Project flight crew takes your campers on a summer camp ride visiting Spanish speaking countries, learning the language and the culture all in this jam packed camp. Immersion Passport is a travel themed Spanish language learning camp that will teach your child Spanish while also adding in FUN new vocabulary, games, crafts, culture and excitement about another language and country.
- Youth Technology Camp: Introductory courses in video game design, robotics, and web design and animation. Campers will learn the basics of these tech savvy topics in a hands-on program that allows the students to work in small teams, learning and taking on challenges each day.
- Coterie Summer Classes: The Coterie's Elementary Actors (grades K-4) explore the actor's toolbox – body, voice, imagination – through structured activities lead by seasoned teachers. Building upon the natural imagination young actors have, these classes will introduce the fundamentals of acting and teach more about technique!
