[ARCHIVED] Fiber may be coming to a neighborhood near you

With the construction season approaching, telecommunications companies will be ramping up permit applications to extend their fiber in Liberty. Current permit applications have been submitted by AT&T, Google Fiber and Spectrum. The City of Liberty cannot dictate where telecommunications companies lay their fiber, within the right-of-way or in utility easements.

Things to know:

  • Utility Easements: These are areas where the utility (i.e.,  gas company, power utility, cable company, etc.) has permission to enter a property (public or private) to install and maintain utility facilities.  A utility easement may or may not be in the front yard, side yard, or back yard of a property.
  • Much of the work includes boring under the right-of-way or easement areas.
  • Have questions or concerns about:

    2. AT&T fiber installation call 913. 676.1801
    3. Spectrum fiber installation call 816.260.7777
