The Liberty City Council unanimously approved the appointment of Christopher Young as Liberty’s next Fire Chief at its meeting on October 28.
Chief Young has worked for the Liberty Fire Department since 2007 in various progressively responsible roles, most recently as the Support Services Assistant Chief.
He will work with current Chief John Mills in a transition period through the end of the year and take over full Fire Chief duties on January 1.
