Effective September 30, the City of Liberty will end its contract with IRIS, the app-based rideshare service offered by the Kansas City Area Transportation Authority (KCATA).
Rising costs have created challenges for long-term sustainability after offering the IRIS service at a subsidized rate for users for just over two years.
City staff are looking into other rideshare options to serve the citizens of Liberty. More information to follow.
