The William "Will" Smith Memorial Basketball Court is under construction! A new sport court surface is currently being placed.
The court is in honor of Will Smith, who made a big impact on youth in Liberty. He volunteered his time to empower over 1,300 kids with lessons in teamwork, leadership, conflict/resolution, character development and of course, basketball!
The official opening with a "first shot" and ribbon cutting celebration, will be on Monday, Oct. 27 at 5:15 p.m.
This project has been a labor of love, and we couldn’t be prouder of the results! Families and kids will enjoy this amazing space for years to come. Come celebrate this exciting improvement to our City and honor Will Smith, whose impact on Liberty youth through basketball continues to inspire.
