The Liberty Silver Center invites anyone aged 60 or older to join them for a day of fun on August 5. Children and grandchildren are also invited on this day
A variety of indoor and outdoor activities will be provided in the morning for all ages, including Wii®, face painting, cookie walk, bean bag toss and more. There will be a special appearance from “Pluggie”, the Liberty Fire Department (LFD) mascot. Also scheduled to appear will be a Liberty Fire truck with LFD staff available to visit with the children about the equipment on the truck. A local band called the Raytown Ramblers will be providing the pre-lunch musical entertainment. Lunch will include hot dogs, chips, cookies and lemonade.
If you would like to join in the fun, please call 816.439.4368 to make your lunch reservation by July 30. Cost of the event is $2 for adults and $1 for children 18 and under. The Silver Center is located inside the Liberty Community Center at 1600 S. Withers Rd.
The Liberty Access Bus, which provides transportation for seniors over the age of 60, is available to and from the Silver Center. For more information about scheduling and applicable fees call 816.439.4397.
