The City of Liberty has been recognized for efforts to support and promote historic preservation over the past 25 years by the State Historic Preservation Office.
During a state-wide conference in Jefferson City, Jo Ann Radetic, coordinator of Missouri’s Certified Local Government (CLG) program, presented staff with a certificate of recognition for 25 years of participation as a CLG. CLG status requires that the local government enact a historic preservation ordinance, appoint a preservation commission, conduct an ongoing survey and inventory of historic properties, and conduct public outreach and education.
