The Silver Stitchers are having so much fun, they have extended their hours.
The Silver Stitchers began meeting once a week in early 2011, soon they decided to meet twice a week to have time to complete all their projects. Now, they are extending their hours once more to meet in the evenings.
The Silver Stitchers are a group of women, and sometime men who enjoy knitting, crocheting, needle point and other types of needle work. Beginning in January 2012, they will meet from 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month at the Community Center to share their love of creating.
During the course of the year, the group will pick charitable organizations to donate specific projects. This is an opportunity to give back to the community but is certainly not a requirement to participate in the group. If you’re interested in joining the group, call the Liberty Community Center, 439.4360, to make your reservations. Fee for the program is $12 per year.
