Come and enjoy the crowning jewel of Memorial Day, the “Avenue of Flags”. The American Legion has sponsored this event for more than ten years. More than three hundred flags are set every morning and taken down every evening. It is a big job. The effect is breathtaking. Boy Scouts place small flags at all the military headstones. It is a sea of red, white and blue.
