[ARCHIVED] Investigation continues into assault near school bus stop

At about 7:15 am on October 18, the Liberty Police Department investigated an assault involving a 15-year-old girl. The offense occurred in the area of Missouri and Murray streets in Liberty while the girl was on her way to her school bus stop.

The suspect is described as a white male in his 40s, approximately 5’ 8” and 200 lbs. He was reported to be wearing a blue and white checkered jacket, possibly with leather on the shoulders, paint covered jeans, salt and pepper colored hair and a receding hair line.
