[ARCHIVED] Tickets on sale for 4th Annual Charitable Fund Winter Carnival

The weather outside may be turning frightful, but the kids can still have some holiday fun at the Liberty Parks and Recreation Charitable Fund Winter Carnival on Dec. 8.

This fun-filled family event, which will be held from 12:30– 3 p.m. at the Liberty Community Center, will offer:
-- carnival games including Minute to Win It, Plinko, Snowball Toss and many more. Tickets required.
-- face-painting and balloon artists,
-- refreshments, and
-- Santa and Mrs. Claus (be sure to bring your camera to capture the moment!)

Register in advance to receive extra game tickets. Advanced registration by December 7 is $4 and includes refreshments and 10 game tickets. Pick up pre-ordered tickets on Saturday at registration desk. Day-of-the-event registration will be $5 and includes refreshments and five game tickets. The Liberty Community Center is located at 1600 S. Withers Rd. Additional game tickets will also be available for purchase the day of the event, five for $1 or 25 cents each.

All proceeds of this event will benefit the Liberty Parks and Recreation Charitable Fund, which is a part of the Greater Kansas City Community Foundation, a not-for-profit 501c3. The Fund sponsors the successful youth scholarship program, which enables children from low-income families to participate in Parks and Recreation programs that they otherwise might not have been able to enjoy.
