Citizens interested in running for municipal office in the April 2, 2013 municipal election have until 5 p.m. on January 15, 2013 to submit their “Declaration of Candidacy.” Every two years, elections are held for the mayoral seat, four City Council seats (one of the two seats for each ward) and four honorary positions*.

Candidates may file anytime during regular business hours (8 a.m – 5 p.m.) December 11, 2012 – January 15, 2013. Please keep in mind that City Hall will be closed in observance of holidays on December 25 and January 1.

The “Declaration of Candidacy” form is available through the Deputy City Clerk’s office at City Hall, 101 E. Kansas and must be filled out in person at City Hall.
