[ARCHIVED] Call for Volunteers: Meals on Wheels

Liberty Meals on Wheels is seeking volunteer drivers to help deliver a noon meal to older adults in the city limits of Liberty.

Each day the Meals on Wheels program delivers close to 70 meals to local seniors who are not able to leave their home.

Openings are available on Mondays and Wednesdays. Each route has no more than six stops. We are looking for volunteers to deliver one day a week. The meals are picked up at the Clay County Election Board office parking lot. Volunteers are assigned a route that takes approximately 30-45 minutes to deliver.

Volunteers not only deliver a warm nutritious meal, but also deliver a friendly face and a daily wellness check to our recipients. The meals enable the elderly to maintain their independence and remain in their homes.

If you or your organization is interested in delivering meals, an application can be completed and submitted on line or contact the Meals on Wheels office at 816.439.4398
