[ARCHIVED] “Tee It Up Fore Parks” in the Liberty Parks & Rec Charitable Golf Tournament

Pull out the golf clubs and “Tee It Up Fore Parks” in a best ball scramble tournament on July 26 to support the Liberty Parks and Recreational Charitable Fund (LPRCF) as it works to strengthen Liberty Parks and Recreation’s programs, services and amenities.

The golf tournament will help to support programs such as the LPRCF’s youth scholarship program, which has helped to pay registration fees for more than 160 children so they can participate in recreational leagues. When involvement in these programs builds character, teaches leadership, improves classroom performance and reduces crime, the importance of scholarships in our community becomes apparent.

The best ball scramble tournament will be held at the Cardinal Hill Golf Course in Liberty. There will be an 8 a.m. shotgun start. Teams of four will compete for prizes in the tournament and may also choose to participate in a Tiger Drive Challenge (longest drive) and Putting Contest.
Teams of four and individuals willing to be matched with others can register online at www.ci.liberty.mo.us/ParksOnline. Golfers looking for a team should enter “Individual” in the team name field in the registration process. Registration fee is $60 for individual golfers or $240 for a team of four. Green fees, cart and lunch are included in the $240 team fee.

For general information about the LPRCF Golf Tournament, contact Janet Snook, Liberty Parks & Recreation director at 816.439.4363 or visit www.ci.liberty.mo.us/LPRCFGolfTourn.
