The Liberty Community Christmas Tree (LCCT) program is seeking volunteers who are willing to adopt, shop and deliver to the hundreds of disadvantaged households in Liberty’s holiday assistance program.
Last year, LCCT volunteers helped to make the holidays a little brighter for 276 families with 699 children and 135 other households. With similar numbers expected this year, volunteers are in great demand.
If you can help, please attend a meeting at 6 p.m. on December 3 or 5 at Heritage Hall, 117 W. Kansas, for orientation. Be sure to bring a photo I.D. with you to the meeting.
