Church Rd., south of Hwy 291 to the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church driveway, will be closed beginning at 7 am on Nov. 14 to allow for continued work related to the I-35/Hwy 291 interchange improvements. Businesses and residences on Church Road will still be accessible from the south.

Weather permitting, the roadway is slated to re-open at 7 am on Nov. 21.

Church Road in Liberty Closing for New Pavement
Route 291and I-35 Interchange Improvements continue

LIBERTY - Church Road will close by 7 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 14 for one week to allow the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) to reconstruct a portion of the roadway as part of the I-35 and Route 291 Interchange project.

Church Road will close between Pleasant Valley Church Drive Way and Route 291 through Nov. 21 as crews rebuild that portion of Church Road to tie into the new lanes of Route 291 just south of the I-35 interchange. All work is weather dependent.

This project is on schedule to open to traffic by mid-December 2013. A ribbon-cutting ceremony scheduled for 1 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 6 will celebrate the completed $10.659 million project.
