[ARCHIVED] Liberty Community Center is a warming center when it's frigid outside!

If you need a place to stay warm during the extreme cold that is forecast in the coming days, the Liberty Community Center (1600 S. Withers Rd.) lobby is available as a warming center. The warming center is available to anyone, regardless of residency.

The Liberty Community Center is open:
Monday-Thursday: 5:30 a.m.-10 p.m.
Friday: 5:30 a.m.-9 p.m.
Saturday: 8 a.m.-8 p.m.
Sunday: 9 a.m.-6 p.m.

This area provides a warm place to get out of the frigid cold. People using the warming center are encouraged to bring their necessary personal items like medicines and ready-to-eat snacks. Warming center visitors may purchase a day pass if they would like to use the Liberty Community Center's other facilities.

When the Liberty Silver Center is open during the week, adults 60 and over can stay warm at the center and participate in activities from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Lunch is available as well with a 48-hour reservation and a $2 donation is requested.
