[ARCHIVED] Call for Volunteers - LoziLu

Saturday, Aug. 23

LoziLu Women's Mud Run is a 5K mud and obstacle run event to benefit young cancer patients and their families. The Kansas City area race will be held at Liberty's Fountain Bluff Sports Complex and we need volunteers.

Party Area and On-Course Shift - 7 a.m.-1 p.m.

  • Pass out water cups at aid stations.
  • Monitor obstacles to ensure participant safety.
  • Cheer on women as they take on the obstacles.
  • Help with check-ins and registration.
  • Work in the Fashions Tent.
  • Coordinate bag check.
  • Distribute water and finsher medals.

Breakdown Shift - 12:30-4:30p.m.

  • Venue clean-up and inventory.
  • Pack supplies and move boxes.
  • Breakdown course and help collect flags and signs.

Perks for volunteers:

  • Volunteer t-shirt.
  • Snacks and water.
  • Free parking.
  • Access to vendor goodies and the post-run party.
  • Community service hours.

It's a low-impact, high-laughter day with plenty of volunteer opportunities for people with all physical abilities. Volunteers must be 16 or older. Although the 5K is a girls' day out, both men and women are welcome to volunteer and support! Sign up now»
