On October 18, residents also can safely dispose of household hazardous waste at a mobile collection event in Liberty. Residents can drop off their household hazardous waste from 8 a.m. - noon in the Liberty City Hall parking lot at the intersection of Kansas and Missouri streets. Electronic waste is not accepted at this event. Waste will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Up to 200 cars can be served at this event.
This event is for household waste only; business waste will not be accepted. Residents who are unable to take advantage of this local event can utilize one of two drop-off centers in the metropolitan area. The centers are located at:

The mobile collection event is made possible through Liberty's participation in the Regional Household Hazardous Waste Program. In 2013, Liberty residents safely disposed of 60,360 pounds (or 30.18 tons) of household hazardous waste of at mobile events and permanent facilities in the metro area.
