The Liberty Community Center is offering its first Push-Pull Competition on Dec. 12 at 10 a.m. Participants can compete is bench press and/or dead lift in a fun and competitive setting.
Male and Female Divisions
Bench Press (Push) and/or Dead Lift (Pull) and an Overall winner
Fees:
$30 – push or pull
$45 – push and pull
$60 – push, pull and overall
Day of registration fee will increase $10 per event.
Weight Classes:
Masters II, Masters, Teen and Open
Weight classes will be determined based on the number of participants.
Divisions:
Teens (age 13-19 yrs.)
Open (age 13 & up)
Masters (age 40-49)
Masters II (age (50-59)

Weigh-Ins:
Friday, Dec. 11 from 7-8 p.m. or Saturday, Dec. 12 from 8-9 a.m.
Rules meeting will be held after weigh-in.
Awards:
·1st place winner in each division at each weight class.

· Male overall Bench Press winner & female overall Bench Press winner based on Co-Efficient
· Male overall Dead lift winner & female overall Dead lift winner based on Co-Efficient
Coefficients are a means to compare different weight classes in Olympic weight-lifting. We are utilizing NASA's weightlifting rules therefore we will be using their coefficient system. It gives a more accurate measure of the strength used to complete the lift. For example, if we did a pound for pound grading system, a smaller guy would almost always win. A smaller guy might be able to lift twice his body weight on bench or dead lift but a bigger guy has less a chance. The link below shows the grading chart.
