In January, the Liberty City Council unanimously approved asking voters to consider a use tax on the April 3 ballot to modernize funding sources for basic services and to provide funding for much needed capital improvements, including:
- replacing the outdated and undersized Animal Shelter
- improvements to City Park, including a new inclusive playground, new expanded sprayground, new restrooms
- improvements to the Liberty Community Center, including a much requested family restroom, additions to the outdoor swimming pool and fitness facilities
- improvements to neighborhood parks
Join Mayor Lyndell Brenton to learn and ask questions about the proposed use tax on the April 3 ballot at one of two public forums:
- 7 p.m. on March 6 at Liberty City Hall, 101 E. Kansas
