Starting Monday, April 1, weather permitting, crews will begin work to permanently close the west leg of the intersection of Doniphan Street at Lightburne Street. This permanent closure is due to sight distance and safety concerns for traffic turning from Doniphan onto Lightburne. There are several other intersections to the south that provide residents safer access. Next week a geogrid grass paver system and new sidewalk will be installed that will allow emergency vehicles to pass the intersection if needed.
