Become a Lifeguard for Liberty Parks & Rec at the Liberty Community Center! As a Seasonal Lifeguard, you'll play a key role in ensuring the safety of our swimmers, enforcing pool rules, and maintaining a fun, welcoming environment. In addition to lifeguarding duties, you'll also have the opportunity to teach swimming lessons to both youth and adults, helping others develop valuable water skills.

Training for Lifeguards is below:
Liberty Parks & Rec uses Ellis & Associates International Lifeguard Training Program to certify our lifeguards and other participants interested in obtaining their lifeguard training certification. The course fee includes adult, child, and infant CPR plus all test costs. Participants are taught how to anticipate, recognize, and respond to an aquatic emergency. Skills obtained during this program include rescue techniques for a guest in distress on the surface of the water, below the surface, and fully submerged (conscious and unconscious). Other program skills taught include the application of supplemental oxygen, the use of a bag-valve-mask, first aid, and AED application.

Please note, for the Recertification Course, you must possess a current Ellis & Associates Certification which has not expired by 45 days.
