At no cost, explore and learn about the historic buildings in downtown Liberty with a new system, sponsored by Historic Downtown Liberty, Inc. (HDLI), that allows visitors to take self-guided, walking tours using their own phones or MP3 players. Visitors call 816-295-3110, and enter the extension number of the attraction they want to hear about. Attractions include:
• The Jesse James Story
• The Alexander Doniphan Story
• The Downtown Liberty Business District
• The African-American Story in Liberty and Clay County
• The Clay County Museum
• William Jewell College
• Three Historic Residential Districts
