The Martha Lafite Thompson Nature Sanctuary, along with the Liberty Arts Commission, is hosting an exhibit of artwork inspired by the nature sanctuary. More than 90 pieces by local professional and amateur artists are now on display at three locations in Liberty. In addition to the Martha Lafite Thompson Nature Center, artwork can be seen in the foyer of City Hall and at Liberty Hospital in the Medical Plaza East Bridge through September 18.
An Art Show Awards Reception will be held at the Martha Lafite Thompson Nature Center from 6 to 9 p.m. on September 19. The public is invited, and the cost is $10 per person or $15 per couple, which includes refreshments. Those interested in attending should R.S.V.P. to the Nature Center at 816.781.8598.
