[ARCHIVED] Looking for something to do with the grandkids? Bring them along a special day trip to the Omaha Zoo

The Liberty Parks and Recreation Department is now taking registration for a June 15 Liberty Travelers’ trip to Omaha’s world class Henry Doorly Zoo. Grandparents, you can even bring the grandkids along on this special day trip.

Once we arrive at the Zoo the day is yours to explore the many exhibits and options such as the Hubbard Gorilla Valley, the Desert Dome, the Scott Aquarium and the Cat complex. A tram, which makes four different stops throughout the zoo, is available for an additional $2.00.

Fee for residents is $60, or $55 for Liberty Community Center members through the member rewards program. Price includes motor coach transportation, admission to zoo, and driver gratuity. Registration deadline is May 14 or to the first 40 registrants. Bus departs at 7:00 a.m. from the Liberty Community Center, 1600 S. Withers Rd.
