Three treadmills and four cross trainers replaced similar pieces of equipment that were five – 10 years old. Two summit trainers, which are a cross between an elliptical trainer and a stair climber, provide patrons with a completely new weapon in their arsenal to get and stay fit.
Patrons can not only challenge themselves with a variety of courses, programs and resistance levels, but they also can plug in their earphones and watch programs of their own choosing on televisions that are integrated into each piece of equipment. The treadmills and cross trainers include touch screen technology, virtual trainers and landscape perspectives and allow users to dock their I-Pods or plug in their MP3 players so they can charge as they workout to their personal play lists.
