    Historic Downtown Liberty Farmers Market runs every Saturday, May through September 7 a.m.-noon and October, 8 a.m.-noon. Vendors carry a variety of produce, flowers, meat, eggs, baked goods, prepared foods and some craft items. Historic Downtown Liberty Farmers Market accepts credit and debit cards along with SNAP benefits, and also participates in the Beans & Greens program.

    During the Fall Clean-up Week, City of Liberty residents can get rid of excess trash, furniture, minor maintenance materials and carpet. Just place the items at the curb or roadway on your regular trash day. Please keep in mind that, with the exception of large pieces of furniture, each item must not exceed 45 pounds or be longer than 4 feet. To assist the trash collectors, please be sure that all items are securely tied, bagged or bundled. The following items are not eligible for collection: -- Sleeper sofas -- Tires -- Hazardous waste (including paint, insecticides, chemicals or batteries) -- Appliances Refuse from remodeling, roofing or major repairs Yard waste Concrete, rock and rubble

    Need to get rid of tree limbs that came down over the winter? The City of Liberty tree limb yard will be open to Liberty residents from 7:30 a.m. - 3 p.m, Oct. 21-25 and from 8:30 a.m. - 2 p.m. on Oct. 26. The site is located on new 210 Highway, approximately 1/2-mile east of Highway 291. Watch for signs and be sure to bring proof of residency. Only tree limbs may be brought to the area. This service is for residents only; no commercial vehicles allowed.
