Disc Golf Courses

Bad Rock Creek Disc Golf Course (BRC)

BRC is an 18-hole course at Stocksdale Park in Liberty. Following the "Tee It Forward" philosophy, this course was designed for players of all skill levels - beginner, advanced and pro. Through the placement of alternate tee pads and additional baskets, BRC combines three courses - Liberty Gold, Red and Blue - into one 18-hole layout.

Bennett Park Disc Golf Course

This 9-hole course at Bennett Park was a collaborative effort between citizens and Liberty Parks & Rec to create a smaller course encouraging beginners to play disc golf. We received feedback from the community asking for more visibility (cleared vegetation and brush) throughout Bennett Park and more activities to utilize the space.

"Creek of the Bad Rock"

This course gets its name from the Lewis and Clark Expedition that traveled the area more than 200 years ago. Rush Creek flows along side the east of Stocksdale Park and Walnut Woods Conservation Area before flowing south into the Missouri River. Clark's journal on June 24, 1804 noted "...a bad part of the river, on the S.S the rocks projected into the river some distance" just above its confluence with the creek. Lewis and Clark's comrade, Sergeant Charles Floyd, referred to the creek as a "Creek of the Bad Rock." Two months later, Floyd became the only member of the expedition to die along the route.

Course Overview

Three courses in one! This 18-hole course weaves through a diverse landscape, featuring a mix of open fields and wooded areas that test precision and power. Elevation changes and natural obstacles, such as creeks and tree lines, add to the course's complexity, requiring players to employ a variety of shots and strategies.
