During this week, City of Liberty residents can get rid of:
-- Excess trash
-- Furniture
-- Minor maintenance materials
-- Carpet
With the exception of large furniture, each item must not exceed 45 pounds or be larger than four feet. Be sure that all items are securely tied, bagged or bundled.
Just place the items at the curb or roadway on your regular trash day.
Tree Limb Yard
The City’s tree limb disposal area, located on new 210 Highway approximately ½ mile east of Highway 291, will also be open during Spring Clean-up Week for citizens with proof of Liberty residency. The area will be open from 8:30 a.m. - 4 p.m. Oct. 24-28 and from 8:30 a.m. - 2 p.m. Oct. 29.
Only tree limbs may be brought to the area. No commercial vehicles will be allowed to access the site.
Household Hazardous Waste
If you come across Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) materials during your spring cleaning, you can safely dispose of it at the Liberty mobile collection event on Oct. 15. Liberty area residents may participate at no charge in the Regional HHW Center collection program, including mobile collection events around the metro and permanent facilities in Kansas City and Lee’s Summit.
