On April 4, Liberty voters will be asked to consider establishing a ½-cent sales tax to improve funding for Police and Fire/EMS staffing levels, safety, recruitment and retention.
The public is invited to learn more about this initiative at a public forum at 7 p.m. on March 20 at Liberty City Hall, 101 E. Kansas St.
Mayor Lyndell Brenton will provide a brief presentation about the proposed Public Safety Sales Tax, followed by a question and answer period.
Information about the Public Safety Sales Tax ballot issue will be included with all Liberty utility bills in March and is available on the City's website.
