During April 23-27, Liberty residents can take advantage of Liberty's annual Spring Clean-up Week to do a little spring cleaning! Take this opportunity to get rid of:
- Excess trash
- Furniture
- Carpet
- Minor maintenance materials
Just place the items at the roadway on your regular trash day.
Please keep in mind that all items should be securely bagged, tied or bundled and, with the exception of large furniture, each item must not exceed 45 pounds or be larger than four feet.
Some items are not eligible for collection:
- Sleeper sofas
- Tires
- Household hazardous waste
- Refuse from remodeling, roofing or major repairs
- Yard waste
- Concrete, rock or rubble
Tree Limb Yard Open During Spring Clean-up Week!
Need to get rid of tree limbs that came down over the winter? The City of Liberty tree limb yard will be open to Liberty residents from 7:30 a.m. - 3 p.m, April 23-27 and from 8:30 a.m. - 2 p.m. on April 28. The site is located on new 210 Highway, approximately 1/2-mile east of Highay 291. Watch for signs and be sure to bring proof of residency.
Only tree limbs may be brought to the area. This service is for residents only; no commercial vehicles allowed.
Safely Dispose of Household Hazardous Waste
If you come across household hazardous waste while your doing some spring cleaning and don't want to hold onto it until the mobile collection event in Liberty later this summer, you have options! You can safely dispose of it at a mobile collection event in Blue Springs on April 28 or at one of two permanent collection facilities:
