Art Exhibitor Application

Call to Artists

The public art galleries in Liberty City Hall and the Liberty Community Center are seeking artists who wish to exhibit their work. Work must be wall art and may include printing, drawing, multi-media, textiles, illustrations, photography, literary works or other work that can be hung on the walls.

All exhibited art must be framed when applicable or finished and ready to hang using the provided hanging systems at each gallery. We also will consider original poetry and creative writing that is mounted and framed. Work must be original; no reproductions are allowed. New and seasoned artists are encouraged to apply.

All submitted work is juried by a committee selected by the Public Art Committee of the Liberty Arts Commission. The jury considers a number of factors, including:

  • Gallery availability
  • Quality of work
  • Breadth of work
  • Types of recent exhibits in the Liberty galleries

Depending on the gallery location, artists may be invited to present a program related to their exhibit. Examples of programs could include:

  • Meet the artist program
  • Demonstration of technique or medium
  • Poetry reading of exhibited poetry
  • Children's activity
  • Adult or senior adult activity or talk related to the medium or subject matter
  • Book sale or signing for illustrator/authors

We are currently scheduling the 2023 calendar year. Please complete the online application which includes five work samples.
