The City of Liberty, in partnership with the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT), is nearing completion on the design for sidewalk improvements along Liberty Dr. from Wilshire Blvd. to Red Oak Ln.
On Thursday, November 21, 2024 Liberty Public Works, VSM Engineering and MoDOT hosted a public virtual meeting to go over the project and its final scope.

Proposed project improvements include:
- ADA compliant sidewalk on the South side of Liberty Dr. between Wilshire Blvd and Red Oak Ln.
- An ADA compliant pedestrian crossing at Red Oak Ln. and Oak Leaf Dr.
- ADA compliant pedestrian crossings at the intersection of Wilshire Blvd and Liberty Dr.
- An ADA compliant pedestrian crossing at Midjay Dr. and Liberty Dr.
Where is the project at?
- The project is in the ROW negotiation stage and will proceed to construction after acquisitions.
- Construction is tentatively scheduled to begin Spring 2026.
