Tennis Lessons

Liberty Parks & Rec offers a variety of tennis programs in a fun and positive environment while taking the teaching experience seriously. The focus of each program will be on teaching basic tennis skills, while incorporating innovative drills and games.

Tennis Lessons

  • Jimmy Hunter is excited to teach the game of tennis and believes tennis is a lifetime sport. The goal for each participant is to be introduced to the game of tennis and to recognize areas of improvement and enhance those skills. We will do this in a very fun and upbeat environment. 
  • For boys and girls ages 6-18
  • Lessons are held on Mondays and Thursdays at Bennett Park Map»
  • Levels for:
    • Ages 6-12 
    • Ages 12-18
  • Individual registration (T-Shirt Included)



Jimmy Hunter, a 2016 William Jewell graduate, played four seasons for William Jewell College and was a two-time captain for the Men's Tennis team. Hunter played his high school tennis for Columbia Rockbridge High School where he won the state doubles championship and he was a part of a team state championship as well.  

Scholarship Program

If you need any assistance to participate in a sports program, please check out the Liberty Parks & Rec Foundation Scholarship Programs.  These scholarships can make LPR programs and activities more accessible by partially covering the cost of current registration fees for youth who qualify.
