LPRF Annual Campaign
The Liberty Parks & Rec Foundation (LPRF) is launching its 6th Annual Campaign July - September to support the programs and services offered by Liberty Parks & Rec. We are committed to funding services for kids, families and the Liberty community.
The Foundation’s Primary Goal is raising funds to support scholarships to ensure kids, families and our community have the opportunity to participate in the department’s youth activities or Liberty Community Center memberships. Since the scholarship for activities program began in 2009, 1,600 scholarships have been awarded and more than $125,00 has been used to provide financial assistance.
The LPRF also focuses on the development and implementation of highly desirable programs and projects that would otherwise be beyond the scope of traditional funding sources.
In addition to scholarships, fundraising for 2022 will be focused on:
Restoration of the Liberty Performing Arts Theatre seating
Replacement of Bennett Park playground and surfacing for inclusive play
Since the LPRF started the Annual Campaign in 2017, they have raised more than $360,000 providing scholarships and the completion of many projects throughout Liberty's Parks. Check out the previous projects list.
You will be directed to the donation page where you can select "Annual Campaign" from the drop down menu.
Foundation funds are held with the Greater Kansas City Community Foundation in an account designated solely for Liberty Parks & Rec.
All donations are tax deductible and you will receive an annual report at the end of the campaign year recapping funds raised and outlining how funds were used.
