The City of Liberty offers two convenient transportation options designed to meet the diverse needs of our vibrant community. The Liberty Access Bus offers a reliable public transit solution for residents with disabilities and those 60+ years old, ensuring they can seamlessly navigate the city with ease and comfort. The City also offers the IRIS On-Demand Local Rideshare service. This provides a flexible and efficient alternative for those who prefer on-demand services. Through a user-friendly app, IRIS connects riders with nearby drivers, offering a quick, personalized journey that accommodates your schedule. Both of the City's transportation options are committed to delivering a smooth, safe and enjoyable travel experience throughout our beautiful community.

Liberty Access Bus

The Liberty Access Bus helps citizens age in place by helping the older and disabled residents of Liberty maintain their independence and remain in their homes for as long as possible. To ensure this is upheld, priority will be scheduling of essential trips.

Transportation on essential trips for adults 60 and older is free of charge. Physically challenged individuals (ages 18 - 59 with current Social Security Disability Award) may utilize the Liberty Access Bus free of charge thanks to a MEHTAP Grant. These rides are available Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Access Bus trips are available only within the city limits of Liberty. All buses are lift accessible for those unable to climb stairs.
